Professor Rachel Murphy, PI of the Oxford Taiwan Studies Programme, was honoured to serve as discussant for Professor Pei-chia Lan's annual lecture for The Sociological Review journal on 27th October 2022. Professor Lan is Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Director of the Global Asia Research Center at National Taiwan University and an award-winning author. Her lecture, entitled Childrearing, Fatherhood and Migration: a transnational relational analysis, drew on her research with Taiwanese fathers from different migration, citizenship and class backgrounds to develop a 'transnational relational framework'.
